The first formal task of the Adalia System Historical (ASH) Corps was to design a standard calendar for Adalia's pioneers.
The first complete draft was submitted 148 days, 17 hours, and 36 minutes after Arrival (Arrival in-game is normalized to 10:00:00 ET, 16:00:00 UTC, April 17th, 2021, Player Time
).
Time in Influence moves at 24x speed relative to the speed at which it moves in real life for players. In some instances, it is necessary to denote when something has occurred or how long it will take in one or both of Player Time and AST.
Full standard notation and font of Player Time is HH:MM:SS ET, HH:MM:SS UTC, Month Day, Year, Player Time.
Eastern Time is used because the developers announced Influence's first release, Arrival, in Eastern Time.
Coordinated Universal Time, or UTC, is the standard basis for telling time on Earth.
Standard notation of AST is Transit : Year : Month : Day The year of the Arrival is considered the first Standard Year, and its notation begins with 0.
Examples:
The Adalia Standard Calendar (ASC) is the recognized system-wide standard for telling the Date. Adalia Standard Time (AST) is a broader recognized system-wide standard that tells both Date and Time.
When notating a date, such as 0:0:0:1, it is considered correct to either indicate ASC or AST.
As of May 1st, 2021 UTC Player Time, there has been little effort to define standards shorter than one day. This is due to the 1:1 correlation between the number of hours:minutes:seconds in both Player Time and AST.

The guiding philosophy for the design process of the Adalia System Calendar was to create something that was as accessible as possible to all pioneers while reflecting the unique astronomy of the Adalia System. Early debate centered around which body or bodies to use as benchmarks, with the final Chronos Transit of Adalia proposed by @Olmops.
Alternate Bodies to use as Benchmarks were proposed by @strwrsfrk, @Korivak, @MilkyTaste
Alternate names for Standard Units were proposed by @strwrsfrk, @Olmops, @Korivak, @MilkyTaste
Alternate standards for notation were proposed by @MilkyTaste
Standard Day Alternatives: Cycle
Standard Week Alternatives: Shift*
Standard Month Alternatives: Duodeca, Dodeca, Aion (as slang, to mean the relative orbital period of the planet Aion)
Standard Year Alternatives: Seasons, Septem, Septima
Chronos Transit of Adalia Alternatives: Rotation, Chronocycle, Chronos Cycle

Each draft must achieve general consensus among its active contributors prior to release. As of v2.0.0, the calendar is considered the formal Adalia Standard Calendar in the eyes of ASH Corps.

* Shift has become a colloquial term to mean 1/4 of a day, or six hours. This roughly corresponds to the average window of time a Player will have during the working day to interact with the game.
