Help viewers understand the decisions behind your play. Show the game, explain your goal, and walk through the choices that affect the result.
State what you are trying to accomplish and which constraints matter. Explain why you chose a location, product, crew, or route. Include unsuccessful choices and what you learned from them when useful.
If you compare market results, include the date, quantities, inputs, and relevant costs. Treat trading and production as game strategy rather than a promise of income to viewers.
Explain unfamiliar terms, keep important interface text readable, and provide timestamps for longer videos. Identify the version or recording date when interface details matter. Link to the beginner’s guide for maintained onboarding instructions.
Label concept art, historical recordings, and test-environment footage. Do not describe combat, technology research, or skill-tree progression as currently playable. Use the gameplay overview and core messaging when introducing Influence.
Be welcoming and respectful. Space, science, and strategy provide plenty of interesting material; let the actual game and your explanation carry the video.
