The term "Play & Earn" has two main components: Play and Earn. In order to take advantage of this new type of gaming you need to participate. Additionally this game type focuses on creating a universe that is fun, engaging, and full of depth that players can enjoy and spend countless hours trying to become the best they can.
There are three main types of players: Owner, Player, Owner+Player. Each of these player types have different ways to play the game. All types try to capture as much industry and commerce to generate value and expand their influence within the Adalia.
Players are gamers, they play, compete, and participate in the world that is Influence.
Utilizing their crewmate(s), the land they play on, and their skill, players will actively grow their industry and capitalize of the supply and demand of the markets. Players will engage in mining, building, travel, trading, and evntually combat.
These players will make tactical decisions, form alliances, compete with for marketshare, create and maintain supply routes, and attempt to assert oneself as a titan of industry. Forging alliances and negotiating will be extremely valuable. Utilizing careful coordination, brokering trade deals, and timing outputs to ensure the efficient crafting and delivery of goods in a timely manner, will allow a player to continue to grow their influence and capitalize on their time within this expansive and challenging world.
Owners are players that simply own land, but do not participate in day-to-day play.
These owners will still need to participate and manage their land within Influence. They will be incharge of understanding competitive market rates for leasing/rent lots on their asteroids to ensure players want to play on their land. Additionally they have the opportunity to create a Marketplace on their asteroid to facilitate commerence from both local inhabitants and merchants from afar.
Being a succesful owner can be extremely rewarding, but will require you to gauge the markets and understand the needs of the players.
These are players who own land and participate in the day-to-day play within Influence.
Player/Owner types engage with the game, compete for resources, marketshare, supply routes, trade agreements, and try to grow their Influence within the belt. However, how they differ from non land owning players is that they have land they call their own and want to utilize this land as their main hub or homebase. Utilizing their skills, crewmate(s), and time they will build industry on the surface of their asteroid and work to carve out their niche within the belt. The only limits for these players, are the ones they make.
These owner/players will be able to fully take advantage of the player owned universe. They can captialize on it and earn/accure as much value as they can within the Adalian System.
We believe that all players will strive to also be owners, even if they do not start by owning land within the game.
Assets within Influence are owned by the players. These assets (materials, items, crewmates, ships, asteroids) all live within your wallet. Wallets are owned outside of the game itself and therefore all assets can never be taken from you. You can choose to buy, sell, and trade these items without permission to any willing seller/buyer.
To go further, this opens up two powerful economies for the players: The in-game economy and the out-of-game economy.
In-game acts much like WOW or EVE where you play, you accrue in-game currency and items, and you can sell/trade these assets. The main difference is that you truly own them and what you earn is yours to choose what you want to do with them. Additionally the in-game tokens/currency you earn is unbound and freely tradeable on the open market.
The exterior economy or "Secondary Market" is where this new gaming type differs from traditional gaming. Secondary Markets allow players to list their land and characters easily, and if their is enough demand you can sell them for whatever the market will bear. This means that if you want to simply be the best at building up asteroids quickly for starters and then flip them on the secondary market, you can do that. If you want to purchase asteroids in potentially prime locations and try and sell them for more when demand increases, you can do that too. Maybe you enjoy leveling up characters and want to sell more powerful crew once they hit a certain skill level. Really the possibilities are endless and unrestricted.
No more walled gardens. Your time spent playing this game is yours to do with as you deem fit. No blacklisting for selling accounts, assets, or in-game currency. We encourage players to participate in our open-economy.
You can earn SWAY simply by playing Influence. Similar to ISK in EVE Online or Gold in World of Warcraft, SWAY is the in-game currency token that is used to faciliate trade. The main difference is that this token is on the blockchain and can be traded/sold. We believe this is the future of gaming and open economies. You will be able to accrue tokens in any game you play and swap them seamlessly, allowing you access to many games and systems easily and without having your assets locked on a centralized platform unable to be transffered/sold.
