¶ Standard Recipes
A standard recipe (SR) defines the input and nominal output quantities for a process. Bulk goods below are measured in kilograms; individual components use a count (×).

Water Electrolysis consumes 9 kg of Deionized Water per SR, with nominal outputs of 8 kg Oxygen and 1 kg Hydrogen. Raw Water is a different product and must first be refined.
¶ Primary and secondary outputs
When a process has multiple outputs, select a primary output. That product receives its full nominal quantity, rounded down to whole product units. Other outputs are secondary and are reduced. Without a secondary-output bonus, the SDK uses 62.5% of their nominal quantities, rounded down; crew bonuses can improve that fraction.
For 1 SR of Water Electrolysis with Oxygen selected as primary, the base result is 8 kg Oxygen and 0 kg Hydrogen: 0.625 kg of secondary Hydrogen rounds down to zero. For 1,000 SRs, the same selection uses 9,000 kg Deionized Water and produces 8,000 kg Oxygen and 625 kg Hydrogen before any secondary-output bonus.
¶ Scaling and rounding
Multiply each input and nominal output by the number of recipes. Input quantities round up and output quantities round down to whole product units. For 0.5 SR of Water Electrolysis, you need 5 kg Deionized Water; with Oxygen as primary, the base outputs are 4 kg Oxygen and 0 kg Hydrogen.
Processes marked as batched round the number of recipes up when calculating processing time. Always check the in-game action preview before committing materials.
¶ Process runtime
Base duration is setup time + (recipe count × recipe time), with the recipe count rounded up for batched processing. Setup happens once per operation. Bonuses and penalties can change both phases, and transport time is additional.
At 24× time acceleration, the SDK converts each phase to real seconds and rounds it up separately. For 1,000 SRs of Water Electrolysis with no bonuses, setup is 5 minutes and processing is 39 minutes, for 44 minutes total before transport.
