- A Starknet wallet
- ArgentX
- Argent Web Wallet (you will see this option when logging into the bridge “Login with Email”)
- Braavos
- Approximately 5 USD worth of ETH per new crewmate you want to recruit
- Login or create a starknet wallet.
- Our video will showcase how to do this within ArgentX, but the steps are nearly identical for any other Starknet wallet provider. A guide to creating a wallet with ArgentX can be found here.
- Once logged into your account, click “Add Funds” and choose from the available list:
- Buy with credit/debit cards
- Transfer funds from another Starknet wallet
- Transfer funds from an Exchange
- Bridge Funds
- From your selected preference above add approximately 5 USD worth of ETH, per crewmate you want to purchase.
- This does not apply to Arvad Crewmates, as you will bridge these from Layer 1, and thereby be able to complete their crew assignments.
- If you do not have any ETH on Starknet, but you have some already on Ethereum, you can utilize Starknet’s official token bridge: Starknet Token Bridge
NOTE: If funding your wallet with a service like Ramp or Banxa, there is a transaction fee taken by that service, so you will need to make sure you account for this when purchasing ETH.
- Ensure you are logged into your Starknet account within Influence. If you are, in the top left of the main menu click “Store”.
- Enter the amount of Crewmate tokens you want to buy and click “Purchase”, then confirm the transaction in your respective wallet.
- Once your purchase has finalized, click “Play”.
- Click on the “+” in the top left to begin your crewmate recruitment experience. This will bring you to the habitat selection menu covered below.
NOTE: If you own Arvad Crewmates that have been bridged over, skip to the next step.
NOTE: If you bridged an asteroid from the previous “Prepare for Launch” sale in April of 2023, you will have a crewmate token that’s claimable within the game client. This is currently in development and will be available shortly.
- Login if not already, click “Play”.
- Click on the “+” in the top left to begin your crewmate recruitment experience.
- In the new menu, select your Arvad Crewmate then click “Next” and this will bring you to the habitat selection menu.
NOTE: See the bridging guide if you have not already bridged your Arvad crewmates to Starknet. (This only applies to holders of Arrival and Populate the Belt asteroids/crewmates.)
- Once you have begun your crewmate recruitment, you’ll be prompted to choose a starting location at an initial Habitat.
- During Limited Release simply select “A. Pick for me” and continue past this selection.
- Now that you have selected your Habitat, you will automatically be taken to the beginning of your “Crewmate Assignment”.
- The Crew Assignment is your origin story, and depending on what you select, Cosmetic and Impactful traits will be assigned.
- Cosmetic traits are vanity/lore
- Impactful traits apply in-game bonuses
- You can skip your crew assignments and simply select your traits by clicking “Exit Story Mode” and confirming in the proceeding pop-up.
- First select your Class from the five available, this will dictate the start of your Origin story and give you unique traits to choose from.
- Once you have completed your assignment, or skipped the story process, you have the option of reselecting your Class and/or traits.
NOTE: Changing any Class or trait will clear any downstream traits as well, requiring you to select them again.
- Once your Class and traits are finalized, you can customize your crewmate’s appearance by clicking the “randomize appearance” button and give them a name.
NOTE: Names must be unique. If the name is taken you won’t be able to complete the recruitment process and will need to choose another name.
NOTE: Names currently only support english letters
- Once you have entered a name, and have selected your appearance, click “Recruit” and then “Confirm” in the proceeding pop-up.
NOTE: Names are permanent. Additionally, crewmates are permanent, nobody can delete them or take them from you. They will be yours to keep or trade forever. All of their stats, actions, skills, and other attributes will be stored in their unique on-chain history.
- Login if not already, click “Play”, and click on your captain in the top left to view your Crew Management console.
- From the console you can either:
- Click an empty crewmate slot indicated by the “+”
- or
- Click on “Recruit Crewmate”
- Within the Crew Management Console click “Manage Crew”, which will bring up a new screen to be able to arrange your crew.
- To select a new captain simply click, hold, and drag the crewmate you want as the new captain into the Captains slot (the first and largest slot on the left), then hit “Save Changes”.
NOTE: Changing your captain often will reduce overall bonuses to experience that will be applied in the future Discovery release. We recommend only changing them if you are intent on playing with the new captain long term.
- Within Influence you can control any number of crews within a single account. Each crew consists of up to five individual crewmates. This means at any time you can create a new Crew and assign a new captain and crewmates to it, or swap existing crewmates to a new Crew.
- From the Crew Management Console click “Manage Crew”
- Once within the new menu, click “Form New Crew”
- Once you have formed an additional crew, or you have multiple existing crewmates, you can open the crew management console, click “Manage Crew”, then click “Crew Exchange” to select the crew with which you want to swap crewmates.
- After selecting your desired crew to swap crewmates to, you may drag and drop crewmates to their desired slots, then click “Save Changes”.
- Within the Crew Management Console, navigate to the “Crew Name” field, above the Captain’s portrait.
- Click the edit icon, indicated by a pencil, and input your Crew’s name.
- Save changes by clicking the checkmark to the left of the name.
- Food is an important mechanic within Influence, but in Limited Release it is not required.
