The Bioreactor is a production chain building used for growing products into crops.
Crops in the Bioreactor are grown in fixed-length batches.

The Bioreactor requires a nominal 40 real-life hours to construct. Bonuses and penalties can increase or decrease this time.

Manufacture Goods | Begin manufacturing organics into different products. | |
Deconstruct | Deconstruct the Factory. A Factory construction site is created and 90%+ of the construction supplies are returned, but rounded down to the nearest whole unit. |
The Bioreactor is unique among production chain buildings in that its processes run in batches. Intuitively, it doesn’t matter whether you grow one potato or a whole field of them; it will still take a certain number of weeks for the potato(es) to grow. For the Bioreactor, this means that each Standard Recipe is a single batch of that crop. If a non-round-number of Standard Recipes are produced, the amount of time will round up to that for the next largest whole number of Standard Recipes. For example, growing 0.1, 0.5, and 1 Standard Recipes of a crop will all require the same amount of time, that required for one batch. As soon as 1.001 Standard Recipes are selected, the amount of time for two batches will be required.
See the Bioreactor guide for detailed how-tos.
