The Shipyard requires a nominal 108 real-life hours (4.5 real-life days) to construct. Bonuses and penalties can increase or decrease this time.
Icon | Action | Description |
---|---|---|
Manufacture Ship Parts | Begin assembling products into assemblies. | |
Assemble Ship | Begin integrating a ship hull and modules into a finished ship. A destination Spaceport or empty lot (if a Light Transport is being integrated) must be selected when the action is finished, not when it is started. A decision being made at the end of the action is unique among all actions. | |
Deconstruct | Deconstruct the Shipyard. A Shipyard construction site is created and 90%+ of the construction supplies are returned, but rounded down to the nearest whole unit. |
The Shipyard is unique among the production chain buildings in that it permits carrying out two actions at the same time: one Manufacture Ship Parts action and one Assemble Ship action. These two actions are completely independent of each other and don’t interfere with each other in any way. Other production chain buildings can only sustain one action at a time.
See the Shipyard guide for detailed how-tos.
